Our client based in West Sussex seeks a permanent Senior Business Analyst with at least 5 years experience. You will have had full responsibility for the specification of requirements on at least 2 major projects (valued over £1m) which were successfully completed. Having gained experience in more than one sector, you will be skilled in using a variety of techniques for requirement elicitation, documentation and presentation and in choosing the best technique for each situation. Experience of a broad range of methods and tools is important, including use cases, user stories, process models, data models, decision tables, scenarios, CASE tools, Requirements Databases. Candidates will be rigorously questioned on these methods at interview.
Your analytical skills will be first class and you should be able to demonstrate how you have applied these skills to solve business problems. Experience of producing business cases, scoping projects, and formulating and presenting strategic options at Board level is also required.
Once in post, you will design and produce a Requirements Knowledgebase to improve and formalise the specification of requirements throughout the organisation. Therefore a thorough grounding in specifying requirements to a high level, excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to assimilate information quickly in a new environment are key to success in this role.
Other Business Analysis skills are also important, including business process modelling, data modelling, risk analysis and conducting feasibility studies.
Ideally with formal Business Analysis qualifications (ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis, CBAP or similar), you will also have the strong interpersonal skills required to carry out the work and maintain a customer service approach towards the business sponsors and users, as well as communicating with management about the introduction of the new Requirements Knowledgebase to gain buy-in.
