BCS Business Analysis Diploma Oral Exam Details
When you have gained the required number of Module Certificates, you become eligible to take an oral examination to gain an ISEB Diploma in Business Systems Development specialising in Business Analysis.
The oral will normally take up to 45 minutes, during which time you will be interviewed by two examiners. They are appointed by the ISEB from their panel of regular examiners. Oral exams normally take place at the ISEB offices.
The oral is not a re-examination of the detail of your module exams. It is more concerned with questions of 'what', 'why', 'who', 'when', and 'where' rather than 'how'. The examiners will be looking for your general ability and/or potential as a practitioner within the discipline of your particular Diploma. They will be interested in your understanding of the interaction between the various components and modules. Verbal communication and general inter-personal skills are important.
You will not be allowed to take books or other reference material into the interview room, although the examiners may well show you a diagram, or ask you to draw one, as a basis for discussion.
