Advanced Business Analysis Training Course (ISEB Part II)

"Poor requirements yield poor cost estimates"

Background

ISEB is part of the British Computer Society (BCS). It offers an industry recognised qualification in a number of areas including Business Analysis. Delegates may achieve the diploma by gaining the required number of modular 'points' and then taking an oral examination with the BCS.

Intended Audience

This course is aimed at either experienced Business Analysts with at least 18 months commercial Business Analysis experience or who have previously attended our 4-day Fundamentals of Business Analysis course.

For Business Analysts having less than 12 months practical experience or who not familiar with the fundamental concepts of formal Business Analysis, we recommend our Fundamentals of Business Analysis course. The Fundamentals course can then be followed up by the advanced course to achieve the ISEB diploma in Business Analysis.

Course Objectives

This course when taken after our Fundamentals of Business Analysis course offers a route to achieving the ISEB Business Analysis diploma for inexperienced Business Analysts. We would normally recommend that a minimum of 3 months is allowed after attending the Fundamentals course. Download the course overview.

Business Analysis Diploma Oral Examination

On successfully completing the examinations for this course, Business Analysts are eligible to take an oral-examination which is arranged via the British Computer Society leading to the Diploma in Business Analysis. BCS make a charge for this exam. For more details click here.

Course Structure

The course covers the remaining parts of the ISEB syllabus not already covered by the Fundamentals of Business Analysis course.

The course is split into two separate parts of 2 days and 5 days.

The first 2 days cover the ISEB Certificate in Requirements Engineering. If you have taken this as part of the Fundamentals of Business Analysis course then you do not need to attend the first 2 days of the course. The remaining three certificates are sat during the second part of the course.

Achieving the ISEB BA Diploma is still dependent upon attending a 45 minute oral examination with ISEB in addition to achieving the required modular ‘credits’.

Case Study

A team-based case study is used throughout.
